Synopsis
As the first book in “The Case For the Burial of Ancestors” Trilogy Series, Geography tells the story of the Hegemonians, an ancient desert people guided by their divinty, the Puppeteer. In detailing their culture and history, the book looks to literary sources as diverse as the Old Testament, the major myths, Moby Dick, and Thomas Mann’s The Magic Mountain. The graphic imagery is drawn from an eclectic range of sources, including medieval manuscripts, textbooks, found photographs, and hieroglyphics, as well as such contemporary cultural artifacts. Forty full-color stamps which picture the "Forty Cards of the Puppeteer's Portable Traveling Pack are spread out across the three volumes.
